What we do

For Schools

We facilitate workshops geared towards design students, and other fields in arts, social sciences and engineering. Through multi-sensory training, the workshop helps students to look beyond their visual assumptions. The training increases their awareness and creativity, through embracing intuition and fears.

For Companies

We work with companies that embrace inclusivity as their identity and commercial values. We provide design training for their employees through creative thinking sessions.

For Governments

We collaborate with governments that value design thinking as a training approach to make their policymakers and creators think more inclusively from the user’s point of view.

  • “It gave me a new way of looking at the world around me, and it made me curious to explore this unfamiliar world. The vulnerability was a bit scary, but I would like to explore it, the transformation from the experience and feelings to an object.”

  • “I always believed that while I am a very visual person, my other senses were also very good. However, after experiencing everyday tasks while not having the vision, I definitely felt less powerful and as a result, vulnerable. This sense of vulnerability and nervousness is something I will definitely embrace in the future because I believe it will help me grow as a designer.”

  • “I came to realise vision shouldn’t be the main focus point in a design process. There is so much more to it (being human).”

  • “It gave me more insights into how valuable it is to start with a personal experience, instead of designing for someone else without trying to step into their shoes.”

Services

Design workshop experience

3 hours. This session is focused on the pre-design phase when a problem is raised as a question and target users are defined. The design thinking session is a series of training to think out of the box and embrace inclusivity in multisensory ways. The goal of this session is to think differently and understand themself and their users better so that they can raise better questions towards a deeper understanding of solutions.

Design training one week

After the design thinking session, this part focuses on the design translation from the design question into a tangible, practical strategy and design solutions with the help of multi-sensory guidance by Studio Boey. So, it makes sure that good awareness can be translated into an accessible form to serve the goal and the target users.

Customized workshop

Based on your programme needs. We are able to facilitate customised training and knowledge sharing by embracing your company's values and the goals/themes of the training. And it is also possible to develop training for different sizes of groups.
